Let’s Get Personal – Mother’s Day {Arizona Photographer}

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, Sisters and Women out there! As they say, it takes a village to raise a child. I know that my children are influenced for good by countless women. I am so grateful for that! Yesterday was a wonderful day for my family. I attended church and received handmade cards, chocolate covered strawberries and flowers from each of my kiddos. I also got to spend time with my mother and mother in law. Such a wonderful day!This past week, my baby was sick through the night. We brought him into our bed, which is a rare occurrence in our home, and he was still sleeping as the sun came up. I couldn’t help but sneak a few photos of him and the light shone down through our bay window onto his sweet bare skin. Love, love, love my boy. He completes our family in so many ways! It’s not fun to watch your little ones feel sick. We seem to all be on the mend now.

I had my 4th child just under 2 years ago. When I had him, I decided to take a little break from photographing weddings. Four children at home… and a sweet little baby…. made it hard for me to be able to be gone for an entire day, or afternoon. Boy, am I glad that this was my first full coverage wedding since I decided I had the time and ability to take them on again. I met Shannon and Adam for the first time at their engagement session and loved every minute of my time with them. Their love story was such a fun to be a part of. Every detail of their wedding and reception was carefully thought out… and was planned in a very short time. Everyone,including me, had a blast! In addition to having a dream couple to photograph, I was able to invite my dear, talented friend Kara May to be my second shooter. There really isn’t much that is better than being able to share such a fun experience with such a good friend. This fun family came into town from Illinois on vacation for Spring Training. It’s their annual family vacation. This time around they wanted to document their growing family in our wonderful spring weather. I hope that we continue to do their photos each year. Last week I was able to do a fun little commercial session for a new designer Lil’ Giggles Couture. This new headband is called the Bubble Gum Ice Cream Headband, so what is more appropriate for a headband with that name than to do a photo session in an ice cream shop. So, I took my sweet Aubree on a little date to the ice cream shop. Isn’t her pettiromper cute? It’s from Sparkle Dazzle Boutique. We hit the town for a little fun!

What a sweet opportunity it was to snuggle with this little guy. I love to get my baby fix, since my baby is getting too big. He’ll be 2 in June, so he’s not really in the snuggle/need mommy phase right now. I’m hoping it comes back someday For now, being able to cuddle with sweet newborns like Mr. Ryan is so much fun! I enjoy seeing this family each time they come to me to for their family photos. Such a fun bunch! This year I even had an extra surprise when their dog hopped out of the car. Yikes! I was a bit nervous… but she ended up being quite sweet thing. She held still for me, and even looked when I asked. Thanks again B family for trekking across the valley for your visit with me.
